There are five bedrooms available for bed and breakfast accommodation within Windsor House. Windsor House is not suitable for children or guests with mobility difficulties as the bedrooms are all located on the second level of the property up a flight of stairs.

Adjacent to Windsor House is The Quarters which is a self-contained three bedroom property. The Quarters is well suited to families with children or groups and those wishing to cook their own meals. The Quarters has a minimum 2 night stay and guests need to bring their own towels. All other bedding is supplied.

the aberfeldy suite

The Aberfeldy suite is the largest suite available in Windsor House. It is located on the second level and contains a four poster queen size bed overlooking the front garden.

The suite has an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet.

Breakfast is included with your stay.

Check in is available from 2pm and check out by 10am

The Aberfeldy suite is $220 per night with a maximum occupancy of two guests.

 

the sarah flower suite

The Sarah Flower suite is named after Sarah Flower, a relative of the owner, who was a resident of the area and a mother to thirteen children. Sarah was born in Tasmania after her mother sailed from England to join her convict husband in Van Dieman’s Land. Sarah and her husband, James Thomas Lee, settled in the area in search of gold and raised thirteen children. James was an engine driver at the Long Tunnel Gold Mine and he is buried in the local cemetery.

The bedroom in the Sarah Flower suite contains a queen brass bed. The bedroom has views over the front garden. The suite also features a separate sitting area.

This suite has shared bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is included with your stay.

Check in is available from 2pm and check out by 10am.

The Sarah Flower suite is $210 per night with a maximum occupancy of two guests.

 

the golden lily suite

The Golden Lily suite is named after one of the local gold mines.

The suite contains a bedroom with a double bed and a separate sitting area.

This suite has shared bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is included with your stay.

Check in is available from 2pm and check out by 10am.

The Golden Lily suite is $185 per night with a maximum occupancy of two guests.

 

The kITTY cANE ROOM

The Kitty Cane room is named after an infamous local identity, Kitty Cane.

The room contains a queen bed.

This suite has shared bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is included with your stay.

Check in is available from 2pm and check out by 10am.

The Kitty Cane room is $180 per night with a maximum occupancy of two guests.

 

The Victorian

The Victorian contains a double brass bed with lovely views over the front garden.

the quarters

The Quarters provides an alternate accommodation option which is well suited to families or groups. It is situated adjacent to Windsor House and is accessed via a bridge over Stringers Creek.

It is a fully self-contained modern three bedroom property which features an original stone wall from an earlier building on the property.

One bedroom is on a mezzanine level over the living area and contains a queen size bed. The second bedroom contains a queen size bed. The third bedroom contains two single beds. All bedding is supplied.

The bathroom contains a shower over a bath. Please bring your own towels.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Guests can cook their own meals inside The Quarters. Guests are advised to bring their own supplies for cooking as there is no supermarket in Walhalla.

Guests can relax in front of the wood heater in cooler weather. Wood is supplied for the first night and additional supplies can be purchased in town at the corner store. or enjoy the comfort of reverse cycle air conditioning and heating. A range of DVDs and a library of books are available for guest use. There is a satellite television in the lounge room.

Whilst The Quarters is suited to families, children must be supervised at all times. No pets.

The Quarters is $250 per night for two guests with a minimum 2 night stay. Additional guests are $35 per person per night.
